I love, LOVE to cook with pumpkin in the fall (I sneak it in throughout the year actually! ☺). The easiest way to get a yummy, spicy treat is by keeping pumpkin pie spice on hand. It perfectly complements pumpkin flavored foods. However, if you run out to the store you might get sticker shock from the tiny little bottle that costs almost $5! Why not make it yourself and save a little cash?
Here's my recipe. I hope you'll give it a try and then whip up some yummy pumpkin treats to celebrate the season!
Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/4 c. ground cinnamon
1 T. ground ginger
1 T. ground nutmeg
1 1/2 t. ground cloves
Combine well and store in air-tight jar.
I doubled this recipe because I know I'll be needing it! Enjoy the scent of the fragrant spices as you whip up this delicious mix.

DeleteI love all things pumpkin, so I should make some of this. I usually just mix up the spices each time but that can bet annoying. Thanks for linking up to Healthy 2Day Wednesday! Hope to see you back this week.
